How to Overcome Burnout: Am I actually over it?

This IBd Life (2)

Last post I wrote about how to overcome burnout and my steps to get there.

We’ve all been there, in a burnout phase. Funnily enough I wasn’t ready to really admit that it was burnout. I did write a post, but not much else. It took some work but I think I am finally on the top of the hill of this burnout phase and ready to keep on rolling.

Here are/were my goals to overcome my burnout:

  1. Start my instagram account. Here it is! Give me a follow 😉
  2. Restart my declutter calendar
  3. Write a post about the challenge

So I did 2 out of 3. I did restart my declutter challenge and it has been going really well. Less clutter less mess in my head.

(However I took no pictures. My commitment for this week is to take pictures of the 28 days to declutter challenge. It is really fun to look back and see what I am up to. )

It’s really tough being in that burnout stage, because as moms we can’t just jet off to Florida for a vacation, or let go of home duties. Our children still need us and d life keeps moving forward, whether we feel up to it or not.

But I’m learning that burnout isn’t something you just snap out of. It’s a slow climb, one small step at a time. And honestly? Progress is still progress, even if it’s messy.

What Helped Me Move Forward?

  • Letting go of guilt – Burnout happens, and beating myself up over it wasn’t helping.
  • Taking action, even if it was small – Just restarting my declutter challenge gave me momentum.
  • Giving myself grace – I didn’t complete every goal, but I did something, and that’s enough.

This Week’s Focus:

📸 Document my declutter challenge – Because looking back at the progress is so motivating.
📲 Engage more on Instagram – Now that I’ve started, I want to connect with more of you!
📝 Keep writing – Even if it’s imperfect, getting my thoughts out helps.

Burnout is tough, but we don’t have to power through it alone. Have you ever been in a burnout phase? What helped you get back on track? Drop a comment—I’d love to hear your thoughts! 💛
